Names of Notes
Every note has a unique name. The full name tells you its location on the staff.
Call each note by its full name.
If you are asked to play “E,” how will you know which one to play?
“First line E” tells you exactly which E is desired, and eliminates the possibility of “Fourth space E.”
“D below the staff” is very differnt from “Fourth line D.”
